Pastor Brett was ordained in 2011 and accepted his first pastoral call to First Reformed Church in Aplington, IA. He and his wife Jaimi lived and ministered there for eleven years and during that time had three wonderful sons born (Gabe 10, Trygve 8, Elias 7.)
In 2019, Pastor Brett graduated with a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Western Theological Seminary; his work focused on the spiritual formation of the virtue of humility in men. Humility and Humor are closely related, and on his best days Pastor Brett shares a bit of both.
In the summer of 2022 Pastor Brett was called to serve as the Transitional Minister at Calvary Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, NE. During that time, Jaimi served as the Pastoral Intern at First Presbyterian Church of Scottsbluff. The boys usually attend Sunday mornings with mom and Wednesday evening JAM programming at Calvary Lutheran. Pastor Brett loves preaching and teaching, providing spiritual direction and pastoral care, and connecting with students and encouraging them in their faith.
